GuideStar is available to everyone

Enter key words, a location, or a charitable category, and GuideStar provides a list of charities that fit your search criteria. Select a specific charity from the results to see an overview of the organization's charity's mission, programs, goals and results, leadership, and financial information, including IRS Form 990 data.

GuideStar also offers free tools and tutorials to help you prepare a giving plan, search for organizations that match your philanthropic objectives, and assess the performance of those organizations.

For Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund donors

In-depth GuideStar Analyst Reports offer more comprehensive data on over 200,000 charities. These reports are available to our donors free of charge as an added service of the Gift Fund. Each report summarizes a charity's financial data in tables, charts and narratives, including:

• Financial statistics: Annual revenue totals and expenses related to programs, administration and fundraising.
• Financial trends: Information on trends in each of these areas over two years or more, to help you gauge a charity's longer-term progress.
• Financial comparisons: Benchmarking data that makes it easy to compare the nonprofit organization with others in its peer group and geographic area.
